I think sometimes artists get so caught up in meticulously planning their work – sketching every detail, outlining every scene – that they lose the spark that made them want to create it in the first place. It’s like, the initial inspiration is a flame, but constant planning can smother it with structure.
Has anyone else found that sometimes the best artistic moments come from just letting go and experimenting? I’m not saying planning is bad, but I feel like there’s a sweet spot between having a direction and allowing for happy accidents and spontaneous ideas to actually shape the final product.maybe it’s just me, but I find my most “triumphant” pieces (at least the ones I enjoy the most) are the ones where I deviated the most from the original plan, and embraced the unexpected. What’s your experiance with planning vs. “winging it” in your creative pursuits? Do you think too much structure can kill artistic inspiration?
