Unpopular Opinion: Over – planning Can Stifle the True Spirit of Artistic Whims

I think ⁤sometimes artists get so caught up⁣ in meticulously planning ‍their work – sketching every detail, outlining every⁣ scene ⁢– that they lose ‍the spark ⁣that made⁢ them want to create it in the first place. It’s like, the initial inspiration is a flame, but constant planning can smother it with ⁢structure.

Has anyone else found that sometimes ⁢the best artistic moments come ⁤from just letting go and experimenting? ⁣I’m not saying planning is bad, but I feel like there’s a sweet spot between having a direction and allowing⁢ for happy accidents and‍ spontaneous ideas to actually shape the final product.maybe it’s just me, but I find⁤ my most “triumphant” pieces (at least ⁢the ones I enjoy the most) are the ones ⁢where ⁤I deviated the most from ‍the original plan, and ⁣embraced the unexpected. What’s ‍your experiance with‍ planning vs. “winging ‌it” in your creative pursuits? Do you think too much structure can kill artistic inspiration?
