Hey everyone, hoping to get some advice.I’m hitting that dreaded winter training plateau and my motivation is in the toilet. I’m a runner, and the short days and icy conditions have really taken a toll. I’m finding it hard to stick to my training plan when every run feels like such a slog, and I’m definitely not seeing improvements like I was a few months ago.
What are your go-to strategies for staying motivated when you’re stuck in a rut? Are there specific mental tricks you use, modifications you make to your training, or maybe different activities you incorporate to break things up? I’ve tried setting small, achievable goals, but even those feel overwhelming sometiems. Anyone have experience with using virtual training apps like Zwift for running or other structured programs to keep things interesting during these months? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
