I’ve been thinking a lot about how VR could change art. Imagine being able to sculpt not just in three dimensions, but with light, sound, and even code, all tangible within a virtual space. Existing tools like Tilt Brush are cool, but I’m talking about something far beyond that.A fully realized VR art studio could allow artists to bend teh rules of physics, collaborate remotely on complex installations, and create truly immersive experiences for viewers.
Will this lead to a new Renaissance, or will the ease of access and the lower barrier to entry flood the market with derivative works? I’m curious to hear what other people think – will VR empower artists to reach new heights of creativity, or will the technology itself become a crutch, stifling genuine artistic expression? What skills will become essential for artists in this future VR landscape? I’m interested to hear different perspectives – are there any downsides we’re not considering?
