My smart home is making me feel anything but smart these days. Lately, my entire system, consisting of a mix of Philips Hue lights, a Nest thermostat, and a ring doorbell, has been randomly crashing. Everything just stops responding, and I have to power cycle the main hub to get it back online. It’s incredibly frustrating, especially when I’m relying on it for security or temperature control.
Has anyone else experienced somthing similar? I’m wondering if it might very well be related to the increasing number of devices connected.Could my Wi-Fi router be struggling to handle the load? I’ve tried restarting everything individually, updating firmware wherever possible, and even checking for obvious interference. I’m hesitant to start replacing components without a better idea of the root cause. Any suggestions or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated! Is there a way to diagnose network congestion specifically relating to smart home devices?
